The Policy Observatory: Public Policy in Focus
The Policy Observatory, based at Auckland University of Technology, is a national centre for public policy research serving the common good. The Observatory is an umbrella for a range of initiatives; reports and comment can be found on its website.
The Policy Observatory is also home to the Briefing Papers. Briefing Papers are written by authors with expertise in their field, aimed at the general public. They are posted once or twice a week and can be subscribed via an RSS feed. Recent topics include education, taxation and spending, sustainability, domestic violence, media issues, universal basic incomes, and how to measure policy and programme effectiveness.
