The professional Association for Social Workers in Aotearoa New Zealand. We are a membership organisation run for and by our members.
The purpose of ANZASW is to support and provide services for our members. We publish an academic journal Aotearoa New Zealand Social Work, the bi-monthly e-newsletter NoticeBoard, and the bi-weekly E-Notices. We provide a wide range of professional development activities including regular webinars free to members. As an independent organisation we comment on current social issues, lobby for change and to influence policy. We promote the profession and the role of social workers. We provide professional indemnity insurance for all our members. Members also have the opportunity to benefit from developing the profession, developing new skills, networking and collegial support, international links and support for research.
