Office of the Clerk

The Office of the Clerk of the House of Representatives is Parliament’s secretariat, providing advice and services to members of parliament, the House of Representatives and its committees.

The Office of the Clerk is an independent, non-partisan organisation providing services to the House, its committees, and all members of Parliament. It provides advice on parliamentary law and practice, supports sittings of the House and meetings of select committees, produces and holds Parliament's official records and promotes engagement with Parliament. It also provides support to members of parliament with inter-parliamentary relations and overseas delegations.
